Operating with a flexible investment mandate, the Leuthold Core Investment Fund strategically diversifies its capital across a broad spectrum of asset classes. These include common stocks and other equity-linked instruments, bonds and various debt obligations, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), commodities, and money market tools. The specific distribution percentages among these investments are established at the discretion of Leuthold Weeden Capital Management. Under normal circumstances, the fund typically commits between 30% and 70% of its net assets to equity holdings. A comparable portion, ranging from 30% to 70% of its net assets, is usually allocated to fixed-income securities; however, this allocation may be adjusted during extended periods of low interest rates. Additionally, the fund is permitted to invest up to 20% of its total assets in money market instruments.
